SAC member Lt-Gen Yar Pyae receives a delegation led by Ambassador Mr.Deng Xijun of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China

SAC Member Union Minister at the Government Office Chairman of National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee NSPNC Lt-Gen Yar Pyae received the delegation led by Ambassador Mr. Deng Xijun of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in Nay Pyi Taw on December 30.

They discussed friendly bilateral relations between Myanmar and PRC and frankly exchanged views in connection with the peace and stability of common border areas and the implementation of peace processes in Myanmar.

On December 29, Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Ambassador Mr. Deng Xijun of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China at the parlor of the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw. They frankly discussed the political progress of Myanmar, the State’s endeavors in holding peace talks with ethnic armed organizations for ensuring peace and stability of the nation and assistance of China to peace processes, the standing of China with Myanmar in the international arena, continuous assistance of China in humanitarian measures, investments of China for the development of Myanmar, and further promotion of bilateral friendly relations and cooperation.

Present on the occasion were SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin and officials. The Ambassador of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs was accompanied by officials of the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar.

Minister U Wunna Maung Lwin of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received Mr.Deng Xijun, Ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, at 1 pm on 29 December 2022 at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, they cordially discussed matters pertaining to further consolidation of the existing Pauk Phaw relations and cooperation, the maintenance of peace and stability along the border between Myanmar and China, latest developments on peace and national reconciliation process of Myanmar, China’s continuous constructive support towards Myanmar development endeavors and closer collaboration in regional and international arena particularly ASEAN and the United Nations.

Mr. Deng Xijun of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China also met seven ethnic armed organizations from northern Myanmar in Yunan, China before his visit to Myanmar.
