The news circulating on social media that the demonetizing of 50 kyat and 100 kyat notes are fake news, according to the announcement of the information team of the State Administration Council (SAC) released on September 30.
"The announcements on social media are just fake news. The Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) will continue to make announcements about this matter," announced the SAC’s information team.
