NAYPYITAW------Chairman of State Administration Council (SAC) Commander-in-chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing yesterday met with Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China Deng Xijun at the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw, according to the MRTV’s announcement.

The announcement also reported that both sides discussed the holding of peace talks with ethnic armed organization to ensure peace in border and interior areas, the participation of China in peace processes, bilateral cooperation in combatting drugs, the facility to streamline the bilateral trade and border peace, enhancement of bilateral relations and cooperation, further cooperation in economic growth and various sectors between the two countries, political situation of Myanmar, international cooperation and regional peace and stability.

The meeting was also attended by SAC’s Joint Secretary Lt- Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and officials as well as the officials of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar.
