YANGON- Press conference of famous young pop singer Phyo Pyae Sone and two songwriters who suffered from a mistaken two-day arrest on drug charges was suddenly postponed yesterday.

Plan was underway to hold the press conference at Orchid Hotel in Yangon on October 10th.

“The press conference being organized by singer Phyo Pyae Sone cancelled. I knew the news because Saya Myat Khaing told me,” a staff from Orchid Hotel told the Eleven Media Group.

Although there were preparatory measures to hold a press conference at the Orchid Hotel yesterday, the event was cancelled after the reporters arrived at the hotel a few minutes later, according to the hotel staff.

 “If the press conference will be held, I’m going to involve in the event. But, I don’t know about the press conference,” said Rodney San Lwin.

Due to the lack of solid evidence, the police released singer Phyo Pyae Sone on October 9th in accordance with Section 169. Later, singer Phyo Pyae Sone wrote on his social media saying that they namely Pyoe Pyae Sone, Rodney and Nyein Chan Ko especially thanked to their audiences who had believed their truth. They were going to hold a Media Press Show.

The signer Phyo Pyae Sone’s Facebook account also stated that the press aimed to thank those [audiences] for their worrying. He also requested the Media to wait temporarily as an appointment postponed aiming to meet Phyo Pyae Soe, Nyein Chan Ko and Rodney.

Singer Phyo Pyae Soe and his friends paid homage to Shwedagon Pagoda yesterday morning, according to the Director Kyi Phyu Shin’s social media page.

Phyo Pyae Sone and songwriters Nyein Chan Ko and Rodney Sann Lwin were arrested on October 7th at a coffee shop in Myanmar Plaza Shopping Mall in Yangon.
