Philanthropic clinics for emergency patients were opened in the compound of Myoma monastery and Swan Ahrr Parahita monastery compound in Myaungmya and those needing medical treatment can come to the clinics free of charge.

The clinics were opened with the cooperation of youth and health staff.  Patients undergoing medical treatment in the Myaungmya hospital and emergency patients can go to these clinics. The clinics are open in day time as the night time is under curfew in Myaungmya. Health staff in the area participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) to show they are against military rule. But, the clinics are opened for the public who need medical assistance and those who need to hospitalize are sent to military hospitals in Pathein.
