No returnee is arrived yet since the repatriation program started on November 15 and no information is received from Bangladesh in related with the returnees, said Soe Aung, Maungdaw district administrator on November 27.

He said Myanmar is ready to re-accept the returnees from Bangladesh since November 23 but they were not returned to Myanmar on November 15. No information is given about it. Myanmar authorities will check them with the list provided by Bangladesh, make national verification card (NV) and perform medical check-up for them. They will be sent to Hla Pho Khaung transit camp after the process. They will have rice, oil, bean and salt and each returnee will have Ks1,000 for daily allowance.

The authorities will also provide wood, bamboo poles and mangrove stems to build home. The returnees can participate in building homes and they will have wages.

Local and foreign journalists in Maungdaw went to Hla Pho Khaung transit camp, Shwezar and Indin villages on November 27 and met with Bengalis living near the border and Taungpyo Letwe reception center next day.
