No more H1N1 death reported since 3rd week of Sep

There was no reports of H1N1 deaths since the third week of September, according to a statement by the Ministry of Health and Sports.

From January till October 4, Out of 540 patients with Influenza Like Illness, 127 patients were found to have been infected with A (H1N1), 23, A (H3N2) and 50, Influenza B. Out of 1,301 Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) patients, 448 patients were found to have been infected with A (H1N1), 39 patients, A (H3N2) and 78 patients, Influenza B.

An official of the Public Health Department said: “Till October 4, 1,840 people underwent laboratory tests nationwide. There were 764 confirmed cases. The total death toll hit 115—68 in Yangon, 14 in Ayeyawady, 11 in Bago, five in Sagaing, four  in Magway and Mandalay, three in Mon, two in Rakhine and one each in Nay Pyi Taw, Kachin, Shan (South) and Ayeyawady.”
