Our NLD government taking office is not aimed at sending people to prisons as well as grabbing farmlands from people, said Nan Khin Htwe Myint, Chief Minister of Kayin State.

The remarks of the Kayin’s chief minister came from her meeting with Naunglon locals in Hpa-an in Kayin State on November 25.

During the meeting with the locals, Chief Minister Nan Khin Htwe Myint said that their government taking office was not aimed at sending the people to the prisons as well as grabbing the farmlands from the locals. Eindu-Kawkareik road section played a leading role in developing the economy of Kayin State. The company producing gravels was prosecuted for impacting the environment.

I have not seen Naunglon locals for about three years, but I had to meet Lonnya locals as they objected to gravel productions to help pave Eindu-Kawkareik road, said Nan Khin Htwe Myint.

My visit to locals is intended to fulfill the needs of the people. The locals should put forward the requirements on regional development, said Nan Khin Htwe Myint.

Regarding the presentations of the locals, Chief Minister Nan Khin Htwe Myint said that she would fulfill the needs of the locals making links with responsible persons. The responsible persons would make inspection tours to where necessary.
