Surely there are tripartite problems among the incumbent government, parliament and party, the National League for Democracy's Central Information Committee secretary Monywa Aung Shin has confessed.

He made the remark during the opening ceremony of a new office building of Sagaing Region NLD in Monywa District held on January 9.

"The government, party and parliament must be united to survive. But now we hear that there are problems and dissatisfactions between the government and the party. Moreover, problems arise between the government, the party and the parliament. These are tripartite problems," said Aung Shin.

He stressed the need to solve those problems before 2020 elections so as to produce good results.

"We must draw a systematic plan to solve the problems. Tripartite unity will lead to best results in 2020," he commented.

He described the unexpected results from the 2018 by-election as a alarm bell for the party.

The Central Executive Committee has formed a committee to review the discouraging by-election results.

Likewise, another committee has been formed to review and assess members of regional parliaments and governments. The CEC also makes a monthly review as the people are reportedly not very happy with the performances of regional ministers, he said.

"The local people are not very happy with the skills and performances of government ministers. They are not satisfied not only with the government but also with the party. Particularly, we are not satisfied with parliamentary representatives. They don't go to their own constituencies. They show their arrogance in dealing with people. They also interfere in other affairs. Reports have emerged about them. These are the facts we need to review," said Aung Shin
