MYAWADY------Myawady Township, Kayin State, already found over 340 COVID-19 confirmed cases starting from June 21st to July 5th and seven people died from the virus, according to Myawady District Health Department.

Currently, COVID-19 confirmed patients are receiving medical treatments at Maekanel COVID Center, Shwe Myawady Market, Myawady District Hospital and Thingannyinaung Military Hospital.

After the news spread that students and teachers from some schools including No.1 Basic Education High School in Myawady Township were infected with COVID-19 virus; the schools have already been closed for two weeks.

Similarly, restaurants and tea shops in Myawady have been instructed to only allow takeaway orders, says Myawady Township Development Committee.
