Myanmar Women’s Team claims second straight win at 2025 SEA Games
Published 8 December 2025

In today’s second Group B matches of the 2025 SEA Games women’s football tournament, Myanmar defeated Malaysia with a clean-sheet victory, securing back-to-back wins.

Although Myanmar made several changes to the starting lineup—which resulted in some weaknesses—the team still managed to control the match. The game became even easier in the second half after a Malaysian player was sent off.

Myanmar’s goals came from San Thaw Thaw (27'), May Htet Luu (36') and Win Thinzgi Htun (65').

With two consecutive victories, Myanmar is now in a strong position to qualify for the semifinals. If the Philippines fail to win against Vietnam, Myanmar could confirm their semifinal spot even before the group stage concludes.
