Myanmar found 1,400 COVID-19 new confirmed cases on October 7and 39 more people died, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of October 7.
A total of 12,322 samples are tested on October 6 and 7, and found 1,400 confirmed patients, it said.
A total of 302 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing the total number of people to 6,084. Till now, Myanmar has confirmed cases of 21,433. Up to 510 patients have died from the virus, it said.
Hospitals in Yangon Region are testing COVID-19 suspects using rapid anti-gen diagnostic test kits, and among the tests, those with loss of smell are included, announced the MOHS.
