Myanmar reports 310 confirmed cases on Feb 2

Myanmar found 310 new COVID-19 confirmed patients on February 2 bringing the total number of patients to 140,664 and 8 more people died, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of February 2.

A total of 12,377 samples were tested between 8 pm of February 1 and 8 pm of February 2 and found 310 confirmed patients.

A total of 561 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing the total number of people to 125,885, it said.

All patients died in public hospitals on February 2 are the patients with underlying chronic medical conditions. Up to 3,146 patients have died from the virus, it said.

It said 2,411,743 samples were tested till February 2 and found 140,664 patients so far.

A total of 820 people, who had close contact with positive patients in Yangon Region and tested negative, are put in home quarantine, it said.
