Myanmar reports 1,282 new patients on Sept 27

Myanmar found 1,282 new COVID-19 confirmed cases on September 27 bringing total number of patients to 459,436, according to an announcement from Ministry of Health (MOH).

A total of 17,725 samples were tested between 8 pm of September 26 and 8 pm of September 27 and found 1,282 patients. 56 more people died from the virus bringing total number of death tolls to 17,583, according to a report from the ministry.

The samples were tested in labs under the MOH, using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw Council, all regions and states, at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, at No.9 100-Bed Military Hospital in Lashio, at private hospitals and labs and using COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals and public health departments in Nay Pyi Taw Council, all regions and states.

A total of 4,260,959 samples are tested till September 27 and 1,866 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospitals bringing total number to 413,821, it said.
