Myanmar provides travellers from 54 countries visa on arrival services

Myanmar had allowed E-visa services for travellers from more than 100 countries with provided visa on arrival services for travellers from 54 countries including citizens from United States, United Kingdom and many European countries, according to Ministry of Labours, Immigration and Population.

Ordinary passports holders from India were allowed entering Myanmar through visa on arrival from December 1. They can apply visa on arrival at international airports in Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw.

Business visa are viable for 70 days stay and costs US$50. Social visa for workshops, seminars, meetings and research last 28 days and costs US$40. Transit visa is viable only for 24 hours and costs US$20. Visa for drivers allow for 28 days and costs US$40.

“We have allowed 54 countries to enter Myanmar through visa on arrival. Only Indian travelers coming to Myanmar by air have been allowed. They can enter Myanmar from the international airports of Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw,” said an official of the Ministry of Labours, Immigration and Population.

Myanmar granted visa exemption to the travelers from Japan and South Korea on October 1. Moreover, the Chinese including Hong Kong and Macau, special administrative regions of China, were also allowed to enter Myanmar through visa on arrival.

The passengers from Japan and South Korea do not need to apply visa in Myanmar and visa exemption was granted on October 1. They can stay for 30 days in Myanmar but the visa extension is not allowed. These travelers can enter Myanmar not only from Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw airports but also from border gates.
