In the co-main event of UFC 328, reigning flyweight champion and Myanmar MMA fighter Joshua Van successfully defended his title by defeating Japanese challenger Tatsuro Taira via knockout.

The 24-year-old champion secured the stoppage with just 1 minute and 32 seconds remaining in the fifth round.

The bout marked Joshua Van’s first title defense, and he managed to successfully retain the flyweight championship belt.

Van had previously faced criticism after becoming champion following an injury to former titleholder Alexandre Pantoja, but he silenced doubters with an impressive performance in this fight.

Joshua Van has now won seven consecutive UFC fights, with three of his last four victories coming by knockout.

He currently holds a UFC record of 10 wins and 1 loss from 11 fights.

The UFC 328 main card, which featured Joshua Van’s flyweight title defense, began at 7:30 a.m. Myanmar time. Since the flyweight championship bout between Van and Tatsuro Taira served as the co-main event, it was held as the fourth fight of the card.
