Myanmar, India discuss cooperation between universities and SMEs

Myanmar and Indian have discussed collaboration between five universities in Myanmar and India’s small and medium enterprises.

Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe received Indian Ambassador Mr. Vinay Kumar in Nay Pyi Taw on September 4.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the conducting of doctoral courses in six subjects at Naypyitaw State Academy in collaboration with Indian universities. Then, they talked about bilateral cooperation between five universities in Myanmar and small and medium enterprises in India, focusing on various fields, including ICT, artificial intelligence, marine science, microorganisms, English teaching, business management, and vocational education. The cooperation also aims exchange of scholars, especially in teacher education subjects and lecturing of the Open University through online.

Furthermore, discussions between high-ranking officials from Indian educational institutions and directors-general from the Myanmar side will take place via video conference. Moreover, they focused on recruitment of more scholarship students.
