Myanmar found 13 more COVID-19 patients including one from Taunggyi, southern Shan State, bringing the total number of patients to 656, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Health and Sports on August 29.
The rest of them are from Myebon, Kyauktaw, Kyaukphyu, Mrauk-U and Sittwe townships in Rakhine State.
A total of 1,201 samples: 732 samples tested at National Health Laboratory in Yangon, 185 samples tested at General Health Laboratory in Mandalay, 148 General Health Laboratory in Mawlamyaing, 8 samples tested at No.1 1000-Bed in Nay Pyi Taw, 106 samples tested at Sittwe general hospital, 12 samples tested at Kyaukphyu general hospital, 6 samples tested at Pathein general hospital, and 4 samples tested at Muse general hospital, were tested for the second batch of August 28 and found 13 new patients, it said.
A total of 2,535 samples: 1,202 samples tested at National Health Laboratory in Yangon, 221 samples tested at Department of Medical Research, 446 samples tested at General Health Laboratory in Mandalay, 336 General Health Laboratory in Mawlamyaing, 8 samples tested at No.1 1000-Bed in Nay Pyi Taw, 106 samples tested at Sittwe general hospital, 12 samples tested at Kyaukphyu general hospital, 6 samples tested at Pathein general hospital, 4 samples tested at Muse general hospital and 194 samples tested at No.1 1000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, were tested for the first and second batch of August 28, it said.
