Myanmar embassy in Tokyo urges Myanmar citizens to contact by phone or post

The Myanmar embassy in Tokyo announced on March 23 urging Myanmar citizens in Japan to contact the embassy by phone or by post without the need to come personally. 

The embassy suggests not coming to the embassy as a preventive measure against COVID-19. If they want to contact the embassy about consul affairs, it must be done so by phone or by post. 

Currently, for the Myanmar citizens, the embassy says it will receive phone calls from 9 am to 12 pm. Moreover, documents can be fetched from 1.30 pm to 3 pm. 

For emergency cases, Myanmar citizens can contact the embassy around the clock by dialing 070-4413-7383. 

The World Health Organization on March 11 declared COVID-19 as a global pandemic. 

The virus has spread to over 190 countries, infecting over 339,700 people and killing over 14,700 until 2 pm On March 23.
