Myanmar coffee exported to 14 countries from America, Europe and Asia

Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo has said that Myanmar is exporting coffee to 14 countries from America, Europe and Asia.

 He said so during a coordination meeting to increase coffee production and export held on the afternoon of June 5 at the meeting hall-2 of his ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.

 At the meeting the union minister said that the Prime Minister had given guidelines to increase the production of coffee for export purposes. He further stated that coordinated efforts between the government departments, organizations and coffee producers would increase export of Myanmar international standard coffee to the international market and widen the export market. He further said that coordinated efforts would be made to export coffee in line with the standard required by the customer countries as per standards set by the State.

Further discussions were made by the deputy minister, director generals and officials from various under the Ministry of Commerce, and responsible personnel from coffee organizations to enhance the production and export of coffee and the need for the government and private entrepreneurs to coordinate.
