Myanmar citizens have invested over Ks.982 billion in Energy sector up to May 2022 and it is 4.31 percent of total national investment according to Directorate of Investment and Company Administration.

In 2019-2020 FY, 130 new investments were permitted to Myanmar investors. Concerning the investment of Myanmar citizens, Directorate of Investment and Company Administration has permitted Ks.1525.175 billion including U.S $ 266.873 million in 130 new investments in 2019-2020 FY. For the ongoing 30 businesses, it has permitted Ks.346.384 billion including U.S $ 146.745 million. Therefore, it has permitted a total of Ks.1881.459 billion including U.S $ 413.618 million.
