Myanmar, China discuss issues related to speeding up implementation of the Myanmar-China bilateral economic corridor and regional and Silk Road cooperation projects

The Myanmar-China bilateral talks were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw on the evening of November 3, and issues related to speeding up the Myanmar-China bilateral economic corridor and regional and Silk Road cooperation projects were discussed.

The discussion was led by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo and Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs of China Mr. Nong Rong.

In the bilateral talks, both sides discuss about the existing kinship relations between Myanmar and China to be strengthened, continuing implementation of Myanmar-China bilateral cooperation projects, accelerating cooperation projects under the Myanmar-China Economic Corridor and the Silk Road Project, continuing cooperation for stability and peace in the border region of the two countries, China's support for Myanmar's economic development, continuing promote cooperation under the framework of ASEAN and the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Mechanism and the mutual support and cooperation issues of the two countries in the regional and international fronts.

In addition, the Deputy Minister also explained the latest developments in Myanmar to the Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister.

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received Assistant Foreign Minister Mr. Nong Rong at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw on November 3, and they discussed the promotion of multi-faceted strategic cooperation based on the kinship friendship between Myanmar and China, regional and international cooperation issues, including the Mekong-Lancang cooperation.

Then in the evening, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo treated the dinner for the Chinese delegation led by the Assistant Foreign Minister Mr. Nong Rong at M-Gallery Hotel.
