Myanmar beat Cambodia 2-1 to go top of the Group A of 30th Philippines SEA Games on December 2 to advance into semi-final.

Malaysia thrashed Timor 4-0 in other matches of Group A. Myanmar earned 10 points from four matches.

Cambodia scored the opening goal in 21st minutes and Lwin Moe Aung equalized for Myanmar in 26th minutes. Myanmar team controlled the game after they equalized. Myanmar substituted strikers Aung Kaung Mann and Win Naing Tun and Aung Kaung Mann scored the winning goal in 87th minutes.

Cambodia, Philippines and Malaysia in Group A got four points apiece from three matches and final matches of Group A will be decided who will win second place in the group. Semi-final matches will be held on December 7.
