Myanmar beat Cambodia in penalty shoot-outs to claim the bronze medal in 2019 SEA Games men football match, held on December 10 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila.

Myanmar made two changes to the squad which faced Indonesia in Semi-final match and strikers pair Aung Kaung Mann and Win Naing Tun were included in the squad to face Cambodia. Sieng Chanthea scored the early goal for Cambodia and Myanmar trailed behind. Myanmar team piled pressure on the opposite and leveled up in nine minutes from a header from Stirker Aung Kaung Mann. Myat Kaung Khant scored directly from a free-kick in 35th minutes and Sokpheng levelled the scores for Cambodia in the 71st minutes.

The match was reached to a penalty shoot-out as neither team able to find the winning goal. Htet Phyo Wai, Lwin Moe Aung, Nay Moe Naing, Ye Yint Aung and Win Naing Tun scored from the penalty spot for Myanmar team and Sokphengs effort came back off the post.

Myanmar won five gold medals, four silver medal and five bronze medals and stood third place on the medal-winners ranking in SEA Games men football history.
