More than 7,800 jade lots and 480 gems lots were sold through open tender system and Mid-year Myanma Gems Emporium for 2019 realized 500 million euros from the sales of 5,885 gems and jades lots.
Mid-year Myanma Gems Emporium for 2019 held at the Jade Hall of Maniyadana in Nay Pyi Taw from September 19 to 25 sold 7,811 jade lots and 481 gems lots. 40 gems lots were sold at 0.378 million euros and 5845 jade lots at 506.535 million euros.
“The gem emporium is held from September 19 to 25. 481 gems lots and 7,881 jade lots are on display at the emporium. 40 gems lots and 5,845 jade lots were sold,” said Min Thu, Chairman of Jade Work Committee, general manager of Myanma Gems Enterprise.
50 State-owned jade lots, 5,540 jade lots from 1,531 private companies and cooperative sale centers and 2,221 jade lots from 53 joint venture companies were on display for sales.
323 State-owned gems lots, 133 gem lots from 15 private companies and cooperative sale centers and 25 gems lots from nine joint venture companies were on display.
“The jade lot worth of 5 million euros couldn’t be sold out at this emporium, but the highest price reached up to 16.3 million euros,” said Min Thu.
A total of 1,973 gem merchants from 1,084 domestic companies and 3,076 gem merchants from 2,241 foreign companies visited Mid-year Myanma Gems Emporium.
The 56th Gem Emporium for 2019 showed 6,973 jade lots and 5,263 jade lots, fetching more than 475 million euros from selling a total of 5,332 jade and gem lots.
