Muse border trade earns over U.S $ 95 million up to November 19,2021

Muse trade camp from Myanmar-China border earned just over U.S$ 95 million up to November 19 of this financial year, less than U.S $ 630 million compared with same period last year according to Ministry of Commerce.

From October 1 to November 19, 2021-2022, Muse border trade earned U.S $ 93.711 million from export. From import, it earned U.S $ 1.651 million. Altogether U.S $ 95.362 million was earned from Muse border trade.

In the same period last year, it got U.S $ 527.534 million from export and U.S $ 197.430 million from import and in total,  it earned U.S $ 724.964 million.

In October 1 to September of 2019-2020 FY, Myanmar-China trade volume got U.S $ 12.149 billion while China earned U.S $ 6.729 billion from import. Business centers will be built in Myanmar and China and work for upgrading trade and investment will be carried out according to the Ministry.

As a pilot project among Myanmar-China border, three zones for economic cooperation will be built. Among the projects, Muse-Shweli zone project has been started and depending on the success of the project, the rest two zones will be carried out according to an official from the Ministry.

At present, central committee for implementing of the zones has been formed and the committee has set land plot in Myanmar side and feasibility studies have been carried out. Afterwards, investors will be chosen for building the zones, it is said.
