Ms. Azamara Quest cruise ship from the United States arrived in Thilawa port, Yangon on November 18 to pay a four-day visit, according to Myanma Port Authority (MPA).

It is the fourteenth ship to visit Myanmar in 2018 and second ship in this open season.

The cruise ship under Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd will leave for Phuket port in Thailand on November 21.

A total of 608 passengers and 391 crews are on board and the ship came from Hambantota Port in Sri Lanka.

The passengers will visit Bagan, Inle, Thanlyin, Kyauktan, Bago and downtown Yangon during their stay in Myanmar. The tour is arranged by Myanmar Voyages Travel Company and most of the passengers are from the United States and United Kingdom.

It will be 125th tour packages arranged by Myanmar Voyages Travel Company.

A total of over 1.08 million tourists visited Myanmar by October 2018. About 1.04 million out of 1.08 million tourists entered Myanmar via airports. More than 7,000 out of them visited Myanmar with cruise ships. Over 35,000 of them are visited Myanmar through border gates. The tourist arrival is increased in compared with the same period last year.

The arrival in Yangon International Airport by November 15 this year is increased about 2.5 per cent more in compared with last year arrival, according to Yangon Aerodrome Co. Ltd.
