More foreigners riding hot air balloons to see Bagan

More foreigners are using hot air balloons to enjoy the aerial view of Bagan, according to Oriental Ballooning.

“We fly hot air balloons from October to April. We choose a place to take off the balloons in the morning based on the direction of the wind. There are three places in Bagan to go ballooning. We fly over the entire town. It takes about 45 minutes to one hour to for a trip in the balloon,” said Khine Wint Phyu, Director of Sales and Marketing of the company.

The company is providing hot air ballooning services in Bagan, Mandalay, Inle and Ngapali. In Bagan, there are three balloons which can carry eight people and two balloons which can carry twelve people. They also provide similar services in Inle with one balloon which can carry six people and two balloons which can carry four people. There is also one in Mandalay and Ngapali each that can carry six people.

They charged US$399 per foreigner and Ks350,000 to a local for a ride. At present, the company have lowered their rates as a promotion to Ks 450,000 for two locals per ride until December 22.

Many local and foreign travellers came to Bagan as it has many numbers of pagodas, stupas and ancient heritages.
