Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) and Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) attacked Namslak and Monekyet in Shan State and residential buildings in Laukkai town were being fired with homemade rocket, said Major General Zaw Min Tun, spokesman for the State Administration Council (SAC) while speaking about the situation of the encounter on November 21.
"The MNDAA and TNLA are attacking Namslak and Monekyet in northeastern Shan State using massive force. We know that there were many casualties in their side," said Major General Zaw Min Tun.
Major General Zaw Min Tun said that the head of state and the chiefs of the Tatmadaw have special honor and respect to all officers and soldiers fighting in northern Shan State.
Major General Zaw Min Tun said, "In the area of the Northeast Command, there was a shooting from a distance around Laukkai. A 107 mm homemade rocket was fired into the town of Laukkai without a reason. They fired into residential buildings."
Also, he said that some areas of northeastern Shan State, where the current situation is happening, are the areas where the majority of Shan ethnic people live.
“The TNLA and MNDAA attacked towns and villages. They attacked the military bases near the towns and villages. After that, they occupied the houses owned by the Shan ethnic people that I mentioned just now. From there, we saw they attacked the military bases," Major General Zaw Min Tun said.
Regarding these issues, we found that the concerned Shan ethnic people protest against the silence of organizations in Shan State, Major General Zaw Min Tun said.
