Minister calls for public participation in achieving all-inclusive development of Rakhine State

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Win Myat Aye has stressed the importance of Rakhine people's participation in the effort to achieve all-inclusive development in Rakhine State. 

The minister made the remark during the ceremony to sign a cooperation agreement on vocational training, an initial stage of Dreams University project to be implemented by the ministry and Mainly I Love Kids (MILK), Myanmar. 

"Today's event indicates the united effort of all in socio-economic development of the state. Helping improve the capacity of local people means enabling them to create their own fate. It is necessary to practically help young people to realize their goals by recognizing their capability and initiatives. Today's agreement on cooperation in vocational training for youths will enable the young people to integrate themselves into the society, value diverse culture and to cooperate with each other in development efforts," said the minister. 

He then spoke of the need for participation of Rakhine people in the effort to achieve all-inclusive development. 

"Education is a tool to shape the future of our society. So we must place emphasis on this project that will benefit the people of Rakhine State. I call for participation of the state government, parliament, NGOs, social organizations and local people for the success of the project," the minister added.
