Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing has been awarded the Medal of the Ministry of Defence of Russia for Strengthening the Military Commonwealth by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, announced the Tatmadaw True News Information Team on June 24.
The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, currently in the Russian Federation to attend the Parade to mark the 75th Anniversary Victory Day of Great Patriotic War, called on Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Colonel General Alexander V. Fomin at the ministry on the evening of June 23.
Both sides discussed the strengthening of the existing friendship between the two armed forces of the two countries, promoting military cooperation, Myanmar Tatmadaw’s participation in the Army Games in Russia and participation in the Army Games in this year.
After the meeting, the Deputy Minister presented the Medal of the Ministry of Defence of Russia for Strengthening the Military Commonwealth and Deputy Director of The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of the Russian Federation Vladimir Drozhzhov presented the honorary medal awarded by the Director General of FSMTC.
