Maritime police force seized ICE and WY tablets in Kawthoung port on January 18, sources said.

The police found a suspect boat near Mway Taw Island in Pachan River and signaled it to stop. The boat run away and the police found it docked near a bridge in Shwesinyaw Ward. The authorities boarded and searched the boat. They found 18,525 WY tablets worth over Ks55 million and 50 grams of ICE worth over Ks1.25 million.

The boat owner, Ahwi aka Tun Tun Oo, is at large and the police lodged a complaint against him under Section 19(a) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Law at Kawthoung police station.
