Over 15,000 people held a pro-military rally in Lashio of Shan State (North) on November 25, showing their support for the military's stance on building a federalism-based union where all nationalities live in unity without secession.

The supporters marched from the town hall to the gymnasium in Ward (12) chanting slogans.

The slogans included Our Three Main National Causes: non-disintegration of the Union, non-disintegration of national solidarity and perpetuation of sovereignty, constant support for the military that is safeguarding the national causes and objection to those attempting to break up the military.

"I support the military's stance. First, the military safeguards Our Three Main National Causes. Second, it is the goal of the military to build a union based on democracy and federalism with all national races living in unity," said Sein Myint, who gave a talk during the rally,

Khin Aung Swe, a resident from Ward (1) in Lashio, said he took part in the rally for the military's stance on safeguarding the national causes, adding that the military also plays a key role in the country's peace process.

More than 15,000 people and monks from several towns including Lashio in Shan State (North) participated in the rally.
