Lập An Lagoon, also known as An Cư Lagoon, covers a total 800 ha near National Highway 1A passing Lăng Cô Town, Phú Lộc District along the road linking Đà Nẵng and Huế.

The lagoon is situated at the foot of Phú Gia Pass, which is surrounded with magnificent Bạch Mã mountain range with Lăng Cô Bay on  one side.

The lagoon reflects the lustrous green mountains and trees on Bạch Mã range. The lake has a peaceful and secluded nature.

Visiting the lagoon, tourists can see schools of fish and other creatures in clear water.

When the tide is low, one can see ivory oyster shells on strips of sand in the bank.

Farmers fish and keep cages of oysters on the lagoon, raising the oysters in old tyres tied up on bamboo sticks. Along the road surrounding the lagoon, there are stalls selling fresh oysters and other creatures from the lagoon. — VNS
