CMP industries have imported raw materials worth over 885 million USD during 3.5 months this fiscal year, up over 187 million USD compared with the same period last year, according to the figures from the Ministry of Commerce.

From October 1 to February 15, 2018-2019 FY, the imports of CMP raw materials hit 885.568 million USD. It increased by 187.155 million USD.

During the same period last year, the imports of CMP raw materials reached 698.413 million USD.

CMP is the industry which imports raw materials and exports finished goods. The garment industry is a major industry which runs under the CMP system. Other CMP industries are slipper, bags and other industries.

During the first three months of 2018-2019 FY, export earnings from the CMP garment industry amounted to over one billion USD, according to the Commerce Industry.
