SAGAING---The Information Team of State Administration Council(SAC) announced that the Township Immigration and Population Office situated in the southern ward of Myaung Township, Sagaing Region, was torched in the afternoon of December 5th.

The SAC announcement also reported that the unknown persons carried out an arson attack on the Township Immigration and Population Office in the afternoon of December 5th. However, the security force and fire brigade members extinguished the flames and they controlled the burning after 25 minutes later.

Due to the arson attack, one-story brick building, five wooden bureaus, 14 wooden dusks, 20 plastic chairs, 34 shelves, an electric-meter box, office-used telephone and publications were destroyed.

The SAC announcement said that the security force is now trying to take actions against arson makers in accordance with the law.
