If Free Burma Rangers come in Rakhine State without authorization , they will be fought out, said Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun, Secretary of Tatmadaw True News Information Team.

Free Burma Rangers formed with the purpose of rending assistances including medical treatment to the displaced persons during the armed conflicts are preparing to provide assistance to the displaced persons in Rakhine State, said Director David Eubank to RFA News Agency.

Tatmadaw True News Information Team already mentioned that the government and Tatmadaw would not agree if Free Burma Rangers came in Rakhine State and operated their functions without endorsement. If Free Burma Rangers come in Rakhine State, Tatmadaw will fight them out, Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun told the Daily Eleven on June 13.

“We express objections to Free Burma Rangers and it is our attitude and stance. We have nothing to negotiate this matter. If they come in Rakhine State, we will fight them out,” said Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun.

According to ground evidences, photo records were found that Free Burma Rangers give military trainings, provide military uniforms and assist weapons. It is supposed that Free Burma Rangers may interfere in military affairs. If it comes in Rakhine State for military reason, it will be worse in peace and stability of Rakhine State, said Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun.

“The FBR is conducting military trainings according to practical evidences. We discovered photo records showing basic weapon trainings were being conducted. Military trainings were being launched in groups . We think that if they come in Rakhin State, conflicts will grow more. The IDP population is increasing in Rakhine State because of the conflicts taking place there. Other situations will be complicated as well. For this reason, we will have to stop Free Burma Rangers from coming in Rakhine State,” said Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun.

The FBR provided medicines and food supplies in conflict-affected areas in Rakhine State early this year, Director David Eubank of the FBR told BBC.

“Although Myanmar military told they would not allow the FBR to come in Rakhine State, we have begun operations there. We are carrying out the tasks in secret. We have been providing food and medicine supplies since the start of the conflicts. We will continue supporting assistance to the displaced persons in spite of not assisting full support,” said Director David Eubank of the FBR told BBC.

The clashes taking place between Tatmadaw and the AA as of the end of December in 2018 displaced more than 30,000 local people in Rakhine State, according to the statement of the CSOs.

The founding of Free Burma Rangers has turned 25 years. There are about 300 branches of Free Burma Rangers which former special forces abroad gave trainings during this period of 25 years.
