ICONSIAM, Bangkok’s massive waterfront mega-mall, has unveiled a spectacular new attraction – the longest water attraction in Southeast Asia.

The mega-mall, in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, other related agencies and organisations on Friday held the inauguration ceremony for the “ICONIC Multimedia Water Features”, which is also one of the “Seven Wonders at Iconsiam”.

Stretching over 400 metres, the longest water dance in Southeast Asia features a combination of light, colour, sound and multimedia set in front of beautiful vistas across the Chao Phraya River.

Among the highlights are jets of water shooting up, using compressed air technology in combination with a technique of shooting 2D, 3D and 4D jets that can spin. The jets are fired into the air at different heights, the highest at around 35 metres.

Another highlight is the use of cybernetic technology to shoot fountain jets in intervals of 0.1 second to create images of flowers as well as form a water curtain on which images are projected.

This attraction is open to the public free of charge every day and has 3 shows daily, at 6.30pm, 8pm and 9pm, at the mega-mall’s River Park.

The public is also invited to join a photography contest for the fountain dance show by submitting entries in two categories: photos from regular cameras and photos from smartphones. The winners of prizes worth Bt1 million in total will be announced on March 16. For more information, visit http://www.iconsiam.com.
