An online forum, led by Huawei Myanmar, on how the ICT industry will bring plentiful benefits to all walks of life  and how it can sustain them in this new digital era was held.

Both Facebook pages of Huawei Myanmar and Eleven Broadcasting broadcasted the online discussion "ICT Enhances Sustainable Outlook for New Digital Era in Myanmar" on July 30, attended by Founder and CEO of Myanmar Information Technology (MIT),PTE,Ltd Dr. Tun Thura Thet,  Founder and Chairman of Strategy First Education Group Ltd U Aung Khin Chit, CEO of Onelink Technologies Co.Ltd U Wai Phyo as well as PR Manager Ma Mya Hnin Eain from Huawei Myanmar as the forum's moderator.

"The Covid period pushed for the creation of digital businesses. This should be utilizied as an opportunity. If (businesses) cannot survive in this New Normal, they definitely cannot do so in the Next New Normal," said Dr Tun Thura Thet.

According to U Wai Phyo, businesses must be ready now more than ever.

"It now involves all business types and is unavoidable. Businesses better prepare themselves for after Covid because the competition will be fierce. If you cannot keep up, you will fall behind and find it difficult to survive."

The speakers also discussed how technologies from key sectors are now improving and even though the ICT Industry was late to bloom in Myanmar, the rate of growth has been staggeringly quick as even a few years back, Myanmar was recognized globally as one of the countries to see fast developments in the Mobile Communications sector. The forum also touched on the current technological developments, the impact of e-commerce, and gave their professional views on both local and global digital economy and its systems.
