Health & sports ministry sign 7 MoUs with Access to Health Fund

The Ministry of Health and Sports (MoHS) signed 7 MoUs with Access to Health Fund to implement healthcare projects from 2019-2023, a total of 5 years in 144 townships of 8 regions and states. 

Under the terms of the MoU, 3MDG’s Access to Health Fund will provide US $ 215 million. 

"The grants will be provided to the MoHS and international non-governmental organizations for projects in 144 townships of eight regions and states. It is very beneficial to healthcare services across Myanmar," said Minister for Health and Sports Dr. Myint Htwe.

He also thanked the main donor countries; the United Kingdom, Sweden and Switzerland. The MoU covers implementing the National Healthcare Project, fighting tuberculosis, nutritional development, child development, maternal and reproductive health, fight against HIV/AIDS, drug rehabilitation, hepatitis treatment and prevention, and to provide healthcare in Kachin, Karen, Chin , Rakhine and Shan States.
