Fuel imports exceed $ 180 m in one month

Within one month of this fiscal year, the fuel imports exceeded 180 million US dollars, down 29 million US dollars compared with the same period last year, said Khin Maung Lwin, Assistant Permanent Secretary of the Commerce Ministry.

From October 1 to 25 of 2019-20 fiscal year, the diesel import reached 112 million US dollars, down 18 million US dollars compared with the same period last year. During the same period, the pertrol imports amounted to 71 million US dollars, down 11 million US dollars.

During this month, the fuel imports amounted to 183 million US dollars.

According to Myanmar Fuel Importer, Distribution Association, the retail price of diesel was between Ks 910 and Ks 960 per liter and the whole sale price, between Ks 870 and Ks 885 per liter. The retail price of premium diesel was between Ks 920 and Ks 975 per liter and the whole sale price, between Ks 880 and Ks 900 per liter, on November 6.

The retail price of RON (92) was between Ks 820 and Ks 860 per liter and the whole sale price, between Ks 815 and Ks 820 per liter. The retail price of RON (95) was between Ks 920 and Ks 960 per liter and the whole sale price, between Ks 870 and Ks 880 per liter.

The fuel prices have increased by Ks 40 to Ks 65 per liter compared with the rates in the previous two months.

From January to May this year, the fuel prices increased by 160 to Ks 255 per liter.  The fuel prices increased by Ks 25 to Ks 60 in January, Ks 40 in February, Ks 55 to Ks 80 in March and Ks 35 to Ks 65 in April this year. Since early June, the fuel prices have been on the delcine.
