A fire broke out at the Yadanar Myay 2 petrol station in Ward No.9, Hpa-an, Kayin State, according to the Hpa-an District Fire Services Department.

On October 28, at around 1 pm, a fire broke out at the Yadanar Myay 2 petrol station on Bogyoke Street, Ward No.9, Hpa-an, while a fuel bowser was transferring fuel to a stationary tank, according to an official from the Hpa-an District Fire Services Department.

The fire at the petrol station was extinguished by fire trucks and firefighters from the Hpa-an District and Hpa-an Township Fire Services Departments in Kayin State, social assistance organizations, and locals. The fire was brought under control at around 1:20 pm and completely extinguished at around 1:40 pm, he said.

The fire destroyed a fuel bowser and fuel, two fuel pumps, and one man suffered minor burns to his hand.
