FIFA appoints U Zaw Zaw as chairman of its Football Social Responsibility Committee

FIFA has appointed U Zaw Zaw, President of the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF), as the Chairman of the FIFA Football Social Responsibility Committee.

The FIFA Council Meeting 2025 held in Zurich, Switzerland, recently elected U Zaw Zaw as the Chairman of the FIFA Football Social Responsibility Committee.

Therefore, U Zaw Zaw will serve as the Chairman of the FIFA Football Social Responsibility Committee from 2025 to 2029.

The FIFA Football Social Responsibility Committee is composed of a Chairman, Vice-Chairman and 21 members, with former Argentine international Javier Zanetti serving as Vice-Chairman under the Chairman, U Zaw Zaw.

The FIFA Football Social Responsibility Committee is responsible for coordinating the activities of countries affected by natural disasters around the world and tasked with supporting football-related development issues in low-income countries.

MFF President U Zaw Zaw is also currently serving as Senior Vice President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
