Female in close contact with confirmed coronavirus patient in Singapore under quarantine

A 29-year-old woman who shared the same room with a coronavius infected person in Singapore, is being quarantined at Waibargi Specialist Hospital in Yangon, said Dr. Tun Myint, Deputy Director-General of Yangon Region Health Department. 

The patient who was in close contact with the suspected patient is the 41st confirmed one in Singapore. Currently, the quarantined patient shows no symptoms till now. A total of 14 persons who had a close contact with the patient are under home quarantine. 

“On 5 February, the patient was sent back to Myanmar as over 70-old-man from the house where she was working was coughing. She arrived back in Myanmar. She stayed in South Dagon Township. The Ministry of Health and Sports received an email from the health ministry of Singapore. Soon after receiving email, we have to search for the health declaration card. We made a phone call to her according to the phone number found in the card. She was preparing to go back to her house when the officials arrived at the place where she stayed,” he added. 

“I would like to urge the general public not to worry about fake news,” Dr. Tun Myint continued.
