External trade up 353.684 million USD in 2018-19 FY

From October 1 to November 30 of 2018-2019 fiscal year, the total external trade volume reached US$ 5506.847 million, up US$ 353.684 million compared with the same period last year, according to the Commerce Ministry’s figures.

There is a trade deficit of over US$ 614.909 million. The export earnings hit over US$ 2445.969 million while the imports amounted to US$ 3060.878 million.

During the mini budget from April to September, this year, the total trade volume hit a record high of about US$ 18.4 billion, up over US$ two billion compared with the same period last year, according to the Commerce Ministry.

Myanmar mainly exports agro, animal, mining and industrial finished products and other products and imports capital goods, raw materials and personal goods.
