YANGON-----Eleven Media Group (EMG) yesterday hosted third time of royal Kathnia robe offering ceremony at Thiri Mingalar Sandaryone monastery in Bahan Township, Yangon Region.

On the occasion, the invited monks including the monks who are presiding at Thiri Mingalar Sandaryone monastery attended the ceremony and then the Ayeya Shwe Myae Sayadaw who is a patron of Thiri Yadana Kanzayyone monastery offered Buddhist sermon to the invited guests.

Likewise, the EMG held the royal Kathina robe offering ceremony at Thadhama Yanthi Cyclone Shelter monastery in Thargyar Hinoae village, Daedayae Township, Ayeyawady region, on November 7th.

38 monks from Thagyar Hinoae village and surrounding villages were offered kathina robes and alms. Later, the monks recited the Paritta.

The EMG and its doctor collages donated the Thadhama Yanthi Cyclone Shelter monastery which was damaged due to the Cyclonic Nargis hit in Myanmar in May of 2018.

Moreover, the seventh Kathina robe-offering ceremony of the Eleven Media Group took place on October 31 at Pwinttauk Village monastery in Sidoktaya Township, Magway Region, where the whole population was evacuated due to the floods in the Mone Creek in 2015.

In late July 2015, heavy rain caused floods in the creek washing away the pagodas, the village monastery, schools and homes in Pwinttauk Village. All the villagers were evacuated to a hill to the southwest of the village. At that time, the EMG and other public well-wishers donated over 500 bags of rice, cooking oil and other consumer goods to the flood victims.

Moreover, the EMG built and donated a reinforced concrete monastery worth Ks100 million with the aim of providing shelter for the villagers in times of natural disaster. Waso and Kathina robe offering ceremonies are yearly held at the village monastery, and it has been the seventh ceremony this year.

EMG staff families also donated a bronze Buddha statue, a throne, twenty eight Buddha statues and an ordination hall.
