Search and rescue teams in Mandalay Region have successfully rescued 403 people alive and recovered the bodies of 259 victims, according to a statement released by the Myanmar Fire Services Department (MFSD) last night.
The earthquake in Mandalay caused significant structural damage, prompting extensive search and rescue operations. Teams from Myanmar, China, Russia, and India collaborated in the rescue efforts.
On March 31, rescuers successfully saved five women alive. Additionally, they recovered the bodies of 27 victims, including 16 men and 11 women.
Since the earthquake struck, a total of 403 people have been rescued alive, while the bodies of 259 deceased individuals have been recovered, as reported by the MFSD.
