The Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs) can seek approvals from the government by a process of negotiation if there are the issues that can't be influenced by the NCA following the participation in the signing of the nationwide ceasefire agreement, said State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, Chairperson of the NRPC.

The remarks came from the message of the State Counsellor sent to the United Wa State Army (UWSA)'s 30th Anniversary Celebration in Panghsang on April 17.

The message of Aung San Suu Kyi was read out by Thein Swe, Minister for Labour, Immigration and Population on the occasion.

Peace process has started 30 years ago. There are no clashes between the Tatmadaw and the UWSA even today. It shows that both sides follow mutual respect. I feel delighted to see Wa people enjoying fruitful results of the stability and peace prevailing in their region, Aung San Suu Kyi said in her message.

It is of great importance to the country in a bid to build the Union representing democracy, equality and full ethnic rights, Aung San Suu Kyi added in her message.

Only if all EAOs have already signed the NCA, can political dialogues capable of reducing armed conflicts and bringing about ethnic rights and equality go ahead, the message said.

National equality and self-determination the ethnics including EAOs long for should be regarded only as a door to the establishment of federal democratic Union but not as the destination of endpoint, said Aung San Suu Kyi in her message.

Both sides should try to reach next stage of eternal durable peace following mutual respect. The government would like the remaining NCA non-signatories including the UWSA to participate in political dialogues because it wants to establish federal democratic Union, the new dream of the Union for genuine peace, said Aung San Suu Kyi in her message.
