Nay Pyi Taw - Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, who has been under house arrest since February 2021 at an undisclosed location, has been moved to Nay Pyi Taw Prison, said Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, spokesperson for the State Administration Council (SAC).

He was responding to a question on the news that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi had been transferred to Nay Pyi Taw Prison on June 22.

"Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was tried by the relevant courts on June 22, 2022. The news that she was transferred to prison under criminal law is true and is being kept separately," said Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun.

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for six charges and she is still facing 13 more charges.
