YANGON-----According to reports from the members of National League for Democracy (NLD) across the nation, there already are sufficient votes for the establishment of a government, says Dr Myo Nyunt, NLD’s spokesperson.

“The inner info from the NLD members said that the current votes are sufficient to form the government,” said Dr Myo Nyunt.

He added that the number of Union Parliament delegates already met the establishment of a government.

“We estimated that 322 seats have been secured for States and Regions,” said Dr Myo Nyunt.

A quarter of 664 parliamentary seats are set aside for the army, and for the NLD to have the winning majority it will need at least two-third (322) contested seats.

According to this morning NLD’s report, NLD already secured 23 seats for Lower House of Parliament and a seat for upper house of parliament.

Most winning constituencies are some townships in Yangon Region as well as some townships in Sagaing, Magway and Ayeyawady Regions.

Although ruling NLD had a clash with the military [Tatmadaw] by reasoning on the Union Election Commission, they have no worry about the voting result, according to Dr Myo Nyunt.

“We don’t worry because we did legally. If all people will follow the exciting laws, there is no problem,” said Dr Myo Nyunt.

He also said that NLD got the sufficient votes to form a government but it will be safe after getting the Union Election Commission’s approval.
